The HAY Deville Armchair builds on the Deville collection’s open, contemporary reinterpretation of classic outdoor seating with a slightly more generous and supportive silhouette. Designed by Julien Renault, it features softly curved aluminium framing and emphasised proportions that create a relaxed, friendly expression - inviting you to sit back comfortably in outdoor settings. Like its armless counterpart, the armchair is crafted from weather-resistant powder-coated aluminium with a significant portion of recycled content, ensuring durability for year-round outdoor use. Light in weight and easy to move, the Deville Armchair is equally at home around terrace tables, on garden lawns, or in hospitality environments where welcoming outdoor design and lasting performance are essential.

Designer: Julien Renault

Julien Renault is a multidisciplinary designer who grew up outside of Paris. He attended Reims School of Art and Design in France and ECAL in Switzerland. Based in Brussels, his work encompasses product design, interiors and photography. Julien’s work demonstrates a strong awareness of the interconnectedness of objects and their surroundings. Convinced that all objects have a sub-conscious effect on our daily lives, he finds inspiration everywhere and he is not afraid of beautifying the ordinary. Renault’s studio is steadily growing thanks to long-term collaborations with brands such as Cruso, Hay, Hem, Kewlox, Massproductions, Mattiazzi, Stattmann and NINE.
