Centred around the shared language of rounded edges and robust connections, the acclaimed design combines cast aluminium brackets with wooden parts, creating a timeless and versatile table for domestic, public, or corporate settings. Updated with new dimensions to suit contemporary lifestyle needs, it is available in both original colours and new tones selected by HAY.

Bruno Rey (b. 1933, Brugg, Switzerland) is a pioneering Swiss designer best known for creating the iconic Rey Chair—Switzerland’s most commercially successful chair design. After training as a cabinetmaker, he studied at the Zurich School of Applied Arts under renowned designer Willy Guhl, which shaped his functional yet innovative design approach.

In 1968, Rey founded his own studio and soon developed the distinctive 3300 chair, later known simply as the Rey Chair, which entered mass production in 1971 with Swiss manufacturer Dietiker. Recognised for its screwless construction and timeless form, the design remains a landmark in modern furniture. Today, the Rey Collection lives on through a collaboration between HAY and Dietiker, extending Rey’s legacy to a new generation.
