Product description

The &Tradition Flowerpot Pendant Lamp VP1 presents a compact expression of Verner Panton’s iconic design from the late 1960s. Characterised by its distinctive two-sphere silhouette and clean, graphic form, the pendant embodies a timeless design language that remains both playful and refined. Its smaller scale makes the VP1 well suited to kitchens, bedrooms and clustered lighting arrangements, where it provides soft, ambient illumination without overwhelming the space. With its balanced proportions and enduring appeal, the Flowerpot VP1 supports contemporary interiors with subtle character and classic elegance.

Designer: Verner Panton

Verner Panton was a pioneering Danish designer born in 1926, celebrated for his bold, futuristic approach to furniture and interior design. Educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, he began his career working with Arne Jacobsen before establishing his own studio in the 1950s. Panton became internationally renowned for his innovative use of materials, particularly plastics, and his vibrant use of colour and geometric forms. His most iconic creations include the Panton Chair—the first single-form injection-moulded plastic chair—and immersive interiors like the Visiona exhibitions, which challenged traditional notions of space and function. His work, blending pop art sensibilities with functional design, had a lasting influence on 20th-century design and continues to inspire contemporary designers today.
