The Study
Study 05A clearer place
to think.
A corner for a notebook. A desk for a working day. A study can be a room of its own or a small part of another, but it should feel like a place you want to spend time.
Begin with the way you work. Add a chair that suits the desk, light where you need it and somewhere for the small things to go when the day is done.
The pieces, considered

Desks and chairs, directed light, desktop storage and useful finishing details. A working edit that makes room for a little character, too.

Put the light to work
Find
your focus.
Give the work surface its own light. A directed table lamp brings light closer to the page, leaving the rest of the room free to feel like home.
Before choosing a chair, check the seat and arm heights against your desk. Leave space for your legs, the things you work with and a little room to move.
A little order goes a long way
Room for
the small things.
Pens, cables, papers and the notes you need to keep. Give them a place, so the desk can be clear when you need to begin again.
A toolbox moves with the task. Trays group what belongs together. Keep a few things in view that make the space feel like yours, rather than another office.
