The HAY Arbour 3 Seater Sofa embodies the concept that design should follow construction, Andreas Engesvik and Daniel Rybakken’s Arbour is assembled from separate components that have been independently produced for optimal comfort, quality, and efficiency. Rhe seat and cushions are made in carefully balanced proportions, with identical side cushions creating a sense of harmony and offering the opportunity for multiple comfortable sitting or lying positions, while the frame creates a strong yet elegant profile with an architectural quality.  Available in 2 and 3 seater variants with different upholstery options.

Material

FSC-certified wooden frame in solid wood and plywood with elastic webbing. Legs with felt pads. Inner cushions with 50% recycled PE fiber balls, and 50% recycled shredded foam, made from leftover material in production. Removable covers in fabric or leather.

Designer: Daniel Rybakken and Andreas Engesvik

Born in 1984 in Oslo, Daniel Rybakken studied design in Oslo and Gothenburg before founding his studio in 2008. His work has received major international recognition, including Red Dot, Bruno Mathsson and London Design Medal awards. Andreas Engesvik established his studio in 2009 after co-founding Norway Says. Trained in Bergen and Oslo, his work has won Red Dot, iF and Wallpaper* Design Awards.

Together, Rybakken and Engesvik designed the Arbour Sofa Collection for HAY.
