The HAY Arbour Club Sofa is the latest member of Andreas Engesvik and Daniel Rybakken’s Arbour family, the Arbour Club Sofa shares the same concept that design should follow construction, and is assembled from separate components that have been independently produced for optimal comfort, quality and efficiency. With its logical construction and uncluttered design language, the Arbour Club Armchair fuses its distinctly Scandinavian aesthetics with high comfort and great durability.

Material

FSC-certified wooden frame in solid wood and plywood with elastic webbing. Legs with felt pads. Inner cushions with 50% recycled PE fiber balls, and 50% recycled shredded foam, made from leftover material in production. Removable covers in fabric or leather.

Designer: Daniel Rybakken and Andreas Engesvik

Born in 1984 in Oslo, Daniel Rybakken studied design in Oslo and Gothenburg before founding his studio in 2008. His work has received major international recognition, including Red Dot, Bruno Mathsson and London Design Medal awards. Andreas Engesvik established his studio in 2009 after co-founding Norway Says. Trained in Bergen and Oslo, his work has won Red Dot, iF and Wallpaper* Design Awards.

Together, Rybakken and Engesvik designed the Arbour Sofa Collection for HAY.
